Dosage in Special Population

No dosage adjustment required. Children should use under adult supervision.

Indications

Prevention of sunburn, photodamage, photoaging, UV-induced pigmentation, melasma adjunct therapy, post-procedure photoprotection, prevention of tanning, protection against UVA, UVB, visible light and infrared radiation

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation; avoid use on severely damaged, infected or inflamed skin; known allergy to chemical UV filters

Adverse Effects

Mild burning, stinging, erythema, itching, contact dermatitis, acneiform eruption, eye irritation if accidentally exposed, rare allergic reactions

Special Warnings & Precautions

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Apply adequate quantity to achieve labeled SPF. Reapply frequently. Excessive sun exposure remains hazardous despite sunscreen use. Store below 30°C. Do not freeze. Protect from direct sunlight. Discontinue if irritation develops. Duration: Daily continuous use; photoprotection required year-round and during all daylight exposure

Mechanism of Action

Provides broad-spectrum photoprotection through a combination of organic UV filters. Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate absorbs UVB radiation. Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Avobenzone) absorbs UVA radiation. Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate provides UVA protection. Ethylhexyl Triazone and Methylene Bis-Benzotriazolyl Tetramethylbutylphenol provide high-efficiency UVB/UVA coverage. Cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethicone form a protective film and improve spreadability. Advanced peptide complex may help reduce photoaging and oxidative skin damage.

Pharmacokinetics

Minimal or no systemic absorption expected following topical application. UV filters primarily remain within the stratum corneum and superficial epidermis.
