Dr. Parshuram Shendge

Dr. Parshuram N. Shendge is a medical affairs professional and Ph.D. in Pharmacology with progressive experience across pharmaceutical Medical Affairs, medico-marketing, product launches, scientific communication, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement, medical education, post-marketing surveillance, clinical research support, and academia. He currently serves as Senior Manager – Medical Affairs at Ajanta Pharma, where he supports medical strategy and scientific activities for Dermatology and Veterinary portfolios. He has experience providing scientific and medical support for pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, developing scientific and promotional content, conducting field-force training, supporting Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, and engaging healthcare professionals and external experts. He also has a strong academic and research background in pharmacology, diabetes, herbal medicines, toxicology, and related therapeutic areas.

Dr. Shendge has professional experience in Medical Affairs strategy and execution, scientific communication, medico-marketing support, product launches and lifecycle support, KOL and healthcare professional engagement, medical review of promotional and scientific materials, field-force scientific training, CME programs, advisory boards and scientific meetings, post-marketing surveillance studies, evidence generation, scientific publications, clinical research support, and literature evaluation. He has contributed to the establishment of Institutional Ethics Committees for three BMC hospitals: Kurla Bhabha Hospital, Shatabdi Hospital, and Rajawadi Hospital. His academic career includes teaching Pharmacology and related pharmaceutical sciences, guiding student research projects, and conducting doctoral research in diabetes, prediabetes, herbal medicines, pharmacology, and toxicology. He has authored or contributed to peer-reviewed research publications covering areas including superficial fungal infections, herbal medicines, toxicology, hypertension, non-animal models for drug research, and cardiotoxicity. He has also presented oral papers and posters at national scientific conferences, including Indian Pharmacological Society conferences.
