Mumbai: Ajanta Pharma's Domestic Dermatology Cluster has achieved a significant milestone in its patient awareness initiatives with recognition from the India Book of Records for the “Maximum Patients Screened in a Doctor-Driven AI-Powered Application for Sun Protection Awareness.”

The recognition highlights Ajanta Dermatology’s continued commitment to advancing scientific, patient-centric initiatives aimed at improving awareness and preventive care in dermatology.
As part of a nationwide sunscreen awareness drive, our teams engaged with more than 1,800 dermatologists and facilitated the screening of over 25,000 patients through a doctor-driven AI-powered screening application. The initiative was conducted between April 6 and April 24, 2026, with the objective of promoting awareness around sun protection and the importance of sunscreen usage.
Beyond screenings, patients were educated through awareness materials, educational tools, and UV patch tests, helping reinforce the role of sunscreen in maintaining skin health and preventing sun-related skin concerns.
Ajanta Pharma was felicitated for this achievement by the India Book of Records during a ceremony held at its Head Office today in Mumbai on May 27, 2026, commemorating National Sunscreen Day.
This recognition further strengthens Ajanta Dermatology’s growing presence in the sun protection category and reinforces its commitment to meaningful, scientific, and patient-focused initiatives under the campaign:
The achievement also reflects the dedication and collaborative efforts of the field teams, participating dermatologists, and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful execution of the initiative.
This marks Ajanta Pharma’s second entry into the India Book of Records.
Ajanta Pharma remains committed to driving impactful healthcare awareness programmes that combine innovation, education, and scientific engagement to create meaningful outcomes for patients and healthcare professionals across the country.
